sleepless camp! :)

alhamdulillah.... i managed to complete my 24-hour first aid and emergency training rescue camp! it was held at Hutan Rekreasi Seremban on the 7th-8th Dec 2007... as u can read from the title, it is true that i had a sleepless night during this camp... yup, i had a nap, but it was less than half an hour.. huhuhu

but i am happy bcoz i joined this camp... seriously, i learned a lot from this camp... useful stuff i must say... from fire-fighting training, first aid, primary and secondary survey, CPR to knot tying workshop... and we had fun too with activities that they offer us.. like FLYING FOX! it was my first time ever to try it.... i was satisfied coz at last i get to fly on air!!!! ahaks...

thanx to all the facilitators who have shared their knowledge and experiences with us... and million thanks to ERSM (emergency rescue services Malaysia) who had given us this oppurtunity and gave a 100% FREE training!!! tenkiu and tenkiu...

well, i wont touch on activities that we had, coz i knew farah had given full details of it at her blog.... so juz feel free to visit her blog to read bout it...the entry title is 1st aid & emergency rescue training camp ....

but, i'll tell u wut i like and dislike bout this camp... yup, things i like, which i had said earlier, this is one of the camp that i wont forget as it gave me precious knowledge that i wont be able to learn in university... this was only 24-hour camp... i couldnt imagine if it is 3 days two nights camp... how much more knowledge i'll gain??? must be more interesting! (",) and we also had great and kind-hearted facilitators... [they were not at all being strict towards us.. imagine, we finished our night activities at 2 sumthing, then we were supposed to gather again at 3.30 am... but, as my frens n i went to the camp centre at 330am, not everybody was there, n while waiting, almost all of us fell asleep... and at 4am, i realised the doctors/facilitators were starting to walk in front of us..maybe a sign that the next session will start.. but they dont dare to wake us up.... until Dr Maha asked me" why u all sleep here, not in chalet???" and i answered him,"they said that there is sumthing at 4...??? that's why we all wait here.." then he replied me, "so, go and call ur other frens..and go to the carpark later"... ermm... i'm sure, if nobody at the camp centre, the activity will only start later at 7 in the morning, bcoz they didnt want to give command to us, as i believe, they afraid that we might think that they are torturing us]

and the thing i dislike, which i must stress here, MY OWN VIEW!!! was the 'unnecessary' joined activity between female and male...~there was nothing wrong with that activity actually, but it is a problem to me when it involved me and other muslims~ it is not only in this camp, but also in any activities organised by non-muslim or if the participants are mostly non-muslim... and as minority, i dunno how i can speak up my mind... :( there's only a little thing that i can do for now... :'<

of course, i'm not saying that i'm a conservative thinker... that we cant mix around with non-muslim or wut-so-eva.... NO! mixing around with them is a good thing and things that we MUST DO!!! it is part of da'wah... besides, we can learn soo many things from them... wut i mean here is that i juz want activities that follow the islamic law... that's all..

huhu..well i wonder, we say that Malaysia is an ISLAMIC country... but how true is that statement???? if we are really an islamic country, i believe that even though some activities are organised by non-muslim organisations or companies owned by non-muslim, they may automatically know what a muslim can do or cant do... because they will understand and respect the islamic laws if the country really inforce it..!!! but sadly, i must admit that nowadays in Malaysia, from my observation, even though some activities or companies organized/owned by Muslims, they themselves do not apply islamic rules... huhuhuhu.... that is why, how can a non-muslim understand our law if the muslim himself, does not understand and apply it in his daily life??? for example: in Islamic laws, the non-related female and male cannot touch each other, but now, there are soo many so-called-muslims that do not stick to this law...and the non-muslims will think that in Islam, it is okay for us to mix around.... that's why they never think of this whenever they organised activities for muslims...

so now, the question is, how can we make sure that everybody follow, understand and respect Islamic law??? remember during Prophet Muhammad SAW time...??? in Madinah after the hijrah and also in Makkah after Fathu Makkah.. how all the Muslims and other religions like Yahudi, Nasrani can live peacefully in Islamic Countries??? this was bcoz they follow islamic rules... why cant we make that situation to happen again in this era??? hmmm... well, think about it!

to my non-muslim frens, it does not mean, by applying true islamic law in this country, it will only favour muslims... NO! but it will ensure us to live together in a peaceful place... and Islam never force non-muslim to be a muslim too... so, no harm... :) [this stated in Quran, in chapter 2(al-baqarah), verse 256]

appendix:-

Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.
