1st day of my surgery posting

4 days of the most relaxing, free days are over.. huhuhu... i mean, after my posting exam last wednesday, i have thursday, friday, n weekends to unwind my mind... :) now, back to work!!!!

skrg ni, i am in the surgery posting... ermmm.. tougher than family med... of cos... baru td, on the way blk, i met wan chieh and kee wei in the lift... and wan chieh said, "this is quite tiring.. fam med was very free..." ahaks... baru tau... b4 this, complain sgt, fam med was very free... now dah masuk sugery, complain too penat lak.... hehehe... ermm.. manusia... selalu komplain itu ini kan... termasuk la saya... x dinafikan... fitrah manusia dah diciptakan spt tuh.... selalu mengeluh, slalu merungut... [al-ma'arij:19~ Sesungguhnya manusia diciptakan bersifat keluh kesah lagi kikir.~] tetapi itula.. klu kita sentiasa tarbiyah diri kita, muhasabah diri kita, and refer ayat al-ma'arij:22-30, slowly, kita xkan jadi mcm tu... as we know, penat, letih, problems...n mcm2 lg la, adalah sebahgian drpd hidup kita... n wuteva we do, for muslims, we believe, it'll be evaluated in hereafter... and.... kene beringatlah, penat camne pun, kita fikirkan blk niat kita tuh.... :) insyaAllah, baik niatnya.... baik lah jg balasannya...x di sini, di akhirat kelak.... :)

ok, enuff bout that.. this is supposed to be a story under "my life as a medic student" heheh... so, should talk more bout that... rite?? (^,*) [but seriously, cant help it...coz for me, as a muslim, life kita x kira sbg apa, di mana sahaja, semuanya related to ISLAM... camne kita present diri kita to the world, and apa2 yg kita buat, bleh dijadikan sumber utk berdakwah... so yeah... x dpt den nak nolong... ahaks... mmg my style kaitkan wuteva happened around me as a tarbiyah, islah dan dakwah]

so, first day of posting.... mmg still blur.. afterall, family med and surgery posting are very2 different.... family medicine basically about the primary care... we meet patients in out-patient setting.... but for surgery, we go to the hospital, and we deal with more serious cases.... and in surgery wards, most of the cases, are cancer.... hhmmm... tadi pun, masa nk clerk patient, i was like pikir psl possible complications la, another systems la... ahaha... sbb tuh sume soalan2 adalah utk follow up patients in primary care (family med posting)... mcm patients with hypertension or diabetes... tp utk surgery????? huhuhu... mmg cam lost sbntr.... still dunno wut are the important Qs that we need to ask... ermmm... yela, actually, for every posting, lain cara nk clerk patient... n even for every diseases or illnesses or complaints, lain2 soalan yg kene tanya... so sape2 yg nak jadi doktor... ur knowledge need to be wide!!!!!! kene gunakan all the cerebrum area tu utk keep all info psl medic stuff... hehehehe... [which my basic knowledge 4 the time being is still poor... huhuhuhu... blom register lg in my brain...my limbic system dlm brain tuh, cam x fully function jer....huhuhuhu]

n even physical examination(PE)... i was like asking myself, "nk wat camne yek??? yg relevan aje ke, or everything???" huhuhu... itula... in fam med, we dont really practise all these.. clerking and PE... but we were more of observing common illnesses in the community.. mcm demam, batuk, sakit kaki, sakit belakang... ermm... camtu la... ala, nama pun primary care kan??? and if the doctors suspected the patient has some other kind of more serious problem, they'll refer to the hospital.... so, basically, we only learn basic stuff in fam med posting.... itu pasal la... but somehow, i like family medicine! even though xdela asah my knowledge sgt, it taught me, we are treating PEOPLE a.k.a human being, not juz the diseases or the organs!!!!!~ayat2 dr Loh..(",)~ and rasanya, primary care lg mesra "patient" nk compare ngan kat hospital... :)

ermmm..and actually, i 1st day, dah kene on-call..!!! n second day of posting, which is tomorrow, dah ada case presentation.... ermmm.. get ready to kene "belasah" from the lecturers and HTJ doctors!!! hehehehe.... [kena "belasah'-it was quoted from a chinese friend...heheh]

family medicine lecturers.... they are all very nice.... rsnye x pnah kene marah dr diorg pun in the previous 7 weeks.... surgery lecturers??? ntahla.... i'm juz at the beginning of my 'surgery posting' journey... but as i said, this is life...n sumhow we have to face it... x kira ape2 pun... ada benda yg kita enjoy, and ade perkara yg kita x suka... tol x???

well, nk bgtau my secret slama nih... hehehe... ermm... whenever i have sumthing yg i dont like to go through it, i'll tell myself.... "'juz do it!', it's going to be over in the next 24 hours" or "at this hour tomorrow, u'll be free, azi!" or sumthing like that... n sumtimes i ckp, eg: if u dont do well in this exam, u can always do better in the next exam.." tp i alwiz pikir, utk bende2 dunia, i bleh la ckp camni...tp utk akhirat nnt..?? :( sedih x bile fikir??? kita xkan dpt langsung blk ke dunia nih utk perbetulkan blk apa yg kita nak buat... once ALLAH dah ambil nyawa kita, kita x dpt buat apa2.. hanya menunggu keputusannya apb dibangkitkan di padang masyar nnt.... actually, dunia ni la UJIAN kita... tp adakah kita sedar ttg nih???? pikir2 kanlah... [ada satu ta'lim yg sentuh psl ni, insyaAllah nnt azi ulas lg lanjut in the next entry]

okla... itu aje.. nak kene masak n bersiap utk ke hospital mlm nih... :)
